Test Plant at Schlauroth (Germany - Saxony)

General

In 1964 a specialized test plant for automatic centre couplers was established in Schlauroth (near Görlitz) by Deutsche Reichsbahn. Step by step the plant became up to date in Europe.

Use of the Plant Facilities

All tests necessary to develop the coupler and his ancillary equipment in cooperation with the design-office at Waggonbau Bautzen and to proof the safety of operating according the international approved conditions.
