In the picture the left side shows the vehicle with the old screw-coupler and the right side a vehicle with a Willison-profile-coupler connected by the mixed mechanical coupler.

By this device a mixed coupling operation is possible.

For this operation the buffer plates have to remain at the vehicles because the mixed mechanical coupler is only for draft.
